When I feel my life spiralling downward into a pit of chaos, nothing works better than some order. Mosaic Mondays seems to be working out well, so here is my new studio schedule:
Sunday—tidy studio (aka the sweat shop). I seem to have acquired Eleanor Burns’ habit of flinging fabric scraps around the room. Unfortunately, I do not have a clean-up crew who comes in to pick up after me when I am done. Also prepare handwork stuff (piece crazy quilt blocks and stick freezer paper to applique pieces for my kimono wallhanging quilt). Then throughout the week when I have those moments I’d like to do some hand embroidery or applique, it will be ready for me.
Monday—mosaic carousel quilt. Goal: Make visible progress.
Wednesday—menagerie quilt. Goal: Finish Annika’s Menagerie by December.
Thursday—rail fence quilt. My sister is doing better, the blocks are still on my design wall (I want to get them off), and I’d like to finish the quilt by Christmas (this I can do).
The other days of the week are left open for me to quilt where the wind blows, or to add other projects later on. My studio calls!
happy quilting!
It sounds like a good way to get a lot done! good luck!
